The latest Battlefield 6 update just went live, and while it isn’t the massive Season 3 content drop everyone is waiting for, patch 1.3.1.5 targets some of the most annoying bugs ruining matches right now. EA pushed the update on May 26, mainly focusing on fixing broken respawns, map exploits, and messy menus in the REDSEC ranked mode.

If you play a lot of Conquest or REDSEC ranked, you know how bad the loadout screen glitch has been. Players were getting stuck and entirely unable to respawn just because they opened their class edit menu right as they died. This update completely squashes that bug, meaning you no longer have to fear changing your attachments mid-match.
Let’s break down exactly what changed on the most played maps, how REDSEC is better today, and what you should test when you log in.
Map exploits fixed on Hagental Base and Golmud
Players abusing the Assault Ladder on Hagental Base are out of luck. Before this patch, you could glitch out of bounds and shoot enemies from spots where they could not fight back. EA shut down that combat area exploit entirely.
Over on Railway to Golmud, the developers cleaned up some ridiculous spawn issues. You will no longer randomly spawn high up in the sky and freefall near Objective B. They also removed floating debris near Objective E in Conquest and blocked players from capturing Objective D while hiding on top of the communications tower. It forces the fight back to the ground where it belongs.
REDSEC UI and ranked fixes
If you grind REDSEC ranked, the menu experience is much better now. The game finally tells you exactly why you cannot matchmake if your party members have a rank disparity, instead of just making you wait in a broken queue. You can also customize your visuals directly in the lobby now without backing out to a different menu screen.
For snipers, the L115 rifle got a much needed visual fix. Previously, if you got knocked and revived while holding it, the gun would turn completely invisible in your hands. You can now see your weapon again after being picked up.
Better squad movement with the LittleBird
One quiet but great change affects the AH-6 LittleBird helicopter. Teammates can now deploy directly onto the chopper even when the gunner seat is taken. This makes getting your squad back into a fight or breaking through a choke point much faster and more reliable, especially on massive maps like Golmud.
If you are jumping on today, you do not need to change any loadouts or settings. Just enjoy the fact that you can edit your class without breaking your respawn, and watch out for enemies who actually have to fight on the point at Hagental Base now.
