DICE has issued a Battlefield 6 hotfix update that addresses long-standing hit-registration bugs affecting some weapon and attachment setups.
The official Battlefield Comms team confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that rare cases of “bullets visually hitting enemies without applying damage” were tied to attachment combinations and are now fixed.
Developers stated that performance will continue to be monitored after the rollout to ensure consistent results across all platforms. Players are already stress-testing the patch in Conquest and Breakthrough modes to verify stability after weeks of desync complaints.
Conquest Ticket Adjustments Across All Maps
A regional update from Battlefield France announced a change to Conquest ticket counts. Matches will now end more naturally through ticket depletion rather than by timer.
This update shortens certain sessions that previously dragged to full time and better aligns pacing with past Battlefield titles.
DICE confirmed the change is experimental and will continue to be adjusted based on player feedback and match-data analysis.
Data Suggests Naval Warfare in Development
Datamined strings first reported by journalist Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming indicate that naval combat is being prototyped for Battlefield 6.
The code references “jet skis” and “RHIBs (rigid-hulled inflatable boats)” under multiplayer assets, suggesting that development of water-based vehicles is underway.
The official EA Battlefield team has previously acknowledged fan requests, stating in a developer blog that “requests for naval warfare have not gone unnoticed.”
If implemented, this would mark the series’ first full naval expansion since Battlefield 4’s Paracel Storm map.
Other Fixes and Player Requests
Community creator Raptor reported that attachment resets after respawning appear linked to loadouts using no muzzle equipped. Adding any muzzle may prevent the bug until DICE patches it.
Meanwhile, Junda on Twitter revived calls to restore the classic “assists count as kills” system from the beta, suggesting an “eliminations” column on the scoreboard that totals both kills and assists.
Top fan comments gathered from the week include:
-
War Vet Gaming – Wants longer post-match lobbies before auto-loading the next round.
-
DJ Naughty Base – Requests the return of night-mode maps.
-
Porter Garner 5426 – Supports keeping full sniper accuracy exclusive to Recon.
These highlight how active and vocal the Battlefield community remains after the latest Battlefield 6 hotfix update.
