ARC Raiders Vibing Status – What Is It & How to Use

Summary

    • Vibing Status is an automatic animation effect in ARC Raiders, making nearby players automatically bob their heads once someone plays a musical instrument.
    • Introduced in the Cold Snap update, alongside the new Acoustic Guitar instrument.
    • All three current instruments such as Recorder, Shaker, and Acoustic Guitar, can trigger this effect on nearby teammates.

Embark Studios introduced an innovative social feature, Vibing Status, alongside the Cold Snap update. This allows you to connect with other raiders through rhythm and sound once you’re near the instrument. Learn about the Vibing Status in ARC Raiders with this guide!

What Is Vibing Status in ARC Raiders?

This proximity-based animation effect automatically activates once a player performs music using one of the game’s instruments. Once triggered, the nearby raiders will begin bobbing their heads in rhythm to the played music. It creates a representation that the players actually enjoy the performance together.

This isn’t just a text notification or UI element as it is an actual character animation showing your raiders response. They introduced it as part of the major Cold Snap winter update, which was initially believed as a simple visual indicator. However, Embark confirmed that the feature actually provides interactive feedback through character animations. It’ll take a close observation to notice the head-bobbing motion of other raiders.

How Vibing Status Works

For Vibing Status, it doesn’t require you to manually activate it like the emotes in ARC Raiders. Instead, it is automatically triggered once another player nearby starts playing a musical instrument. You will find your character naturally nodding their head to the beat without any input required from you.

This displays your raider genuinely enjoying the music in the moment. Also, this effect is specifically designed not to interfere with the gameplay. The effect doesn’t restrict your movement or prevent you from taking other actions.

You still retain full control over your character while the Vibing Status remains active. So, you can still navigate Speranza, loot, or prepare for combat with the animation as you like. The animation automatically ends once you move out of range of the music or engage in another activity.

Instruments That Trigger Vibing Status

Currently, all musical instruments apply the Vibing Status in ARC Raiders. As long as you use these instruments, the Vibing Status effect will activate for nearby players. This includes the Recorder, Shaker, and Acoustic Guitar that was recently added alongside the Cold Snap update.

Moreover, any new instruments added in future updates will also include the Vibing Status effect. It appears that Embark Studios is committed to expanding the game’s musical features.

Creating Synchronized Musical Performances

Besides the Vibing Status feature, the Cold Snap update also allows multiple instruments to play synchronized tunes when performed together. Although it remains unclear whether the feature launched specifically with Vibing Status or existed previously. Yet, it opens up creative possibilities for players to collaborate in playing instruments.

Currently, there are three different instruments available that let raiders form small orchestras. They can also perform coordinated Speranza-themed songs together for a cooperative element to the musical system. This will encourage squads to experiment with different combinations while also creating unique performances.

Conclusion

For now, you can use the available instruments to sing a tune and activate the Vibing Status effect in ARC Raiders. This adds fun interaction with other raiders while connecting through music in the game. It’s a nice break from the action and looting activities you’ll engage through in the game.
