What is the Shared Watch Event?
Embark Studios’ introduced the first purely PvE-focused initiative in ARC Raiders which runs from February 10- February 24, 2026. This event applies universally to every topside excursion during this period unlike the previous limited-time events. Meaning there’s no escape from its mechanics which is a good thing for cooperative players.
In Shared Watch, raiders should view each other as allies instead as enemies. While PvP combat isn’t disabled during the event, it is heavily discouraged in the reward structure. You can only earn the special currency, Merits, by unlocking the event’s exclusive rewards. Instead, you have to focus your efforts on the real threat which are the ARC machines across the map.
How to Earn Merits in Shared Watch
When trying to earn Merits during the Shared Watch event, it requires focusing exclusively on ARC enemies. For every 100 XP earned from damaging, destroying, or assisting in destruction of ARC units is equal to one Merit. You need to earn 105,000 XP to unlock all rewards on the event track for a total of 1,050 Merits.
It is best to fight against large ARC units like Bastions, Bombardiers, Leapers, and Rocketeers during the event. This provides the most XP per encounter which makes them as your priority targets. Also, you’ll receive XP and Merits for assists, not just final blow. In this way, this eliminates the need to compete with fellow raiders for ARC kills and encourages teamwork instead.
