Are you ready to take on more dangerous missions and also get even bigger rewards? Great Hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds gives you just that, with multiple monsters to slay and more valuable rewards to receive. However, these challenging hunts need to be unlocked first before they can appear as investigations in every region. Let’s guide you through all the Monster Hunter Wilds Great Hunt Missions you need to complete to unlock them.
Great Hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds
Regular hunts in MH Wilds all involve taking down only one monster. However, Great Hunts allow you to defeat two different monsters in a single hunt. You get your usual hunt timeframe and allowed number of fainting before the quest is considered a failure, though. So, not only do you have to take down two dangerous monsters, you have to do it quickly and with the fewest scratches you can manage, too. If you think you’re equipped and skilled enough, then it’s time to unlock them with Monster Hunter Wilds Great Hunt Missions!
There is one Great Hunt Mission available in each of the five regions, and completing it will unlock Great Hunts in that specific region. These missions will only be available once you complete Chapter 5-3, A Break In The Clouds.
In total, there are five Monster Hunter Wilds Great Hunt Missions you must complete.

Conclusion
In completing all of the Monster Hunter Wilds Great Hunt Missions, we recommend you to use the SOS Flare if you’re not in multiplayer mode. This flare will summon the Support Hunters to help you in taking down the Tempered Monsters and making the quest a bit easier.
Also remember that Tempered Monsters are different from regular monsters, with additional weaknesses you can exploit. Look for Tempered Wounds and use Focus Strikes on them to severely damage the monster. That’s everything for our guide and walkthrough! May all your Great Hunts be successful!
